Partners & Educational Supporters
Future receives substantial support from the community. Our community partners provide essential offerings such as early childhood development, before and after care, and meal programs. Future also receives support for funding through grants and by receiving generous donations from local supporters and businesses. Various organizations partner with Future to provide supplemental education, offering classroom activities, niche topic presentations, field trips to their spaces, and sponsoring after-school activities.
“Future Public School started as a dream envisioned by founders Amanda Cox and Brad Petersen back in 2015. I was lucky to be a small part in helping to make the dream a reality. Fast forward to 2023 and Future is a flag ship public charter school serving a diverse group of “engineers” for a future of success, citizenship and excellence. It is a wonderful story of innovators partnering with a community to create the future in real time.”
“The Regional Math Center (RMC) at Boise State University is pleased to partner with Future Public Charter School to design and implement powerful professional development opportunities in the field of mathematics teaching and learning. The Future team actively participated in a school-wide needs assessment to identify areas of strength and growth opportunities in mathematics education. Teachers have readily engaged in proactive collaboration with Regional Math Specialists in various capacities, including cycles of Lesson Study, participation in the Math Taking Action Collaborative leadership network, and completion of ongoing coursework through the SDE and Boise State’s graduate studies in Mathematics Instruction, Learning and Leadership programs. Throughout the collaborative process with Boise State’s RMC, the instructional leaders at Future have consistently modeled curiosity through professional inquiry, a deep desire to honor students’ ideas in the learning process, and the joy of crafting and refining professional practices to support and develop young mathematicians.”
“Future Public School promotes ‘Building the Future Together’ and Giraffe Laugh promotes ‘Building Strong Futures.’ Our combined efforts and similar missions to build strong, foundational futures for children creates a valuable partnership that expands our reach and is meaningful to families we both serve.”
“Future has consistently opened their doors to 4-H programming, inviting experiential learning experiences like fashion design, developing pollinator habitats, exploring the Boise River Ecosystem, gardening, STREAM summer programming, and learning about cultural holidays. Because school leaders and teachers are open to collaboration with community partners like us, students at Future benefit through exposure to diverse hands-on learning opportunities.”
Bluum: Administrative Support Promoting Growth & Excellency
Bluum collaborates with the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation to attract exceptional charter management organizations to Idaho, particularly those serving at-risk and minority students. Amanda Cox and Brad Peterson, Bluum’s recruited founders, established Future Public School in Idaho. To support high-performing charter schools such as Future, Bluum implements efforts to revolutionize the delivery of instruction and learning.
Boys & Girls Club at Mosley Center: Before/After Care & Meal Program
About 40% of Future’s student population takes advantage of the Boys & Girls Club’s before and after-school care. The Boys & Girls Clubs offer young individuals opportunities to expand beyond the classroom, recognizing that every child has the potential to succeed. Future partners with the Boys & Girls Club to provide federal meal programs, offering qualifying families with free or reduced breakfast and lunch options for students at Future.
Giraffe Laugh: Equitable and Affordable Garden City Preschool
Future is lucky to have close proximity and partnership with the Giraffe Laugh Preschool program hosted in the Boys & Girls Club at Mosley Center. Many Future families utilize this preschool program for younger siblings of Future engineers. Giraffe Laugh aims to develop high-quality, affordable preschool opportunities for families by equipping Idahoans with the tools and resources they need to create and implement affordable, high-quality local solutions.
